The Witcher

I’d been told I’d love The Witcher books several times. And Ive read the first one and it’s great. So naturally when I saw the trailer for the show I was all for it. Its got some of my favorite things.

• A Fantasy World
• Epic Romance
• Funny sidekick
• Magic
• Witches
• And most important HENRY CAVILL

Putting all those elements into one show is like guaranteeing I’ll love it. Henry is excellent as Geralt and his relationships with the other characters are great. He says so few words but the timing is so on point it’s like he’s given a full monologue.

Some people complain about the timeline wonkyness but i think it allowed for the construction of a dynamic story. It was unexpected and flowed well. Just go along for the ride and it eventually makes sense.

The monsters that Geralt goes up against are stunning, the effects are fantastic. The lore about how they’re created and how Geralt handles them is so detailed you cant look away from the fight scenes.

I can’t wait for season 2!
